The care they provide enables the elderly or disabled to live independently in their own home as opposed to being treated in a nursing home or hospital. The unique thing is about home nursing care is that patients can receive care full- or part time; anything from 3 hours a day to 24/7; depending on their needs.
If a patient is in a hospital, you can still hire Cape Care Services who will take care of the patient while they are in hospital. They also provide post-operative care where recovery is often hastened by being in a familiar environment.
They work successfully with community nursing sisters who are called in should the care require medical intervention or supervision.
The Cape Care Agency provides one on one care, giving the home patient all the assistance they need. Their staff have been trained to look at care holistically.

They were founded in 1986 to care for terminally ill patients. They offer a comprehensive palliative care service for persons living with terminal illnesses such as Cancer, Neurological Disorders and HIV/AIDS.
If there is a situation that requires additional 24-hour continuous nursing care to maintain the patient at home, they network with local nursing agencies to facilitate this.
Their in-patient Unit at Helderberg Hospice is a facility offering 24 hour nursing care and is used primarily as back up for the home care service. They provide excellent care and make the patients and families feel at home.
Their home care service is delivered by palliative care trained professional nurses with the backup of the social work department and volunteers. A member of the hospice team makes regular visits to assess the patient’s condition and provide additional care or other services.
